INTERPOL, RHIPTO, the Norwegian Centre for Global Analyses, and the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime would like to invite you to a high-level event on the margins of the 73rd United Nations General Assembly.
Organized crime has emerged as a major factor in many contemporary and protracted conflicts. This high level event will present two new pieces of research addressing the inter-relationship between organized crime, illicit financial flows and conflict: The World Atlas of Illicit Flows, a collaboration between INTERPOL, RHIPTO – the Norwegian Centre for Global Analyses and the Global Initiative; and a new analysis from the Global Initiative assessing emerging crime-related themes in Security Council resolutions. The discussion will consider the wide-ranging implications of organized crime threats for how the UN responds to peace and security concerns.
For further information or any inquiries, please contact Ms. Julia Stanyard at julia.stanyard@globalinitiative.net.
This event is supported by the Governments of France and Norway.
