Andrea Torrico Muñoz

Associate, Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime

Andrea is an Associate at the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime. She holds a Law Degree from the University of Salamanca and an LL.M. in Public International Law, Environmental Law and the Law of the Sea from Utrecht University. As a passionate environmental advocate, she has always been committed to the fight against environmental crime, particularly to combating wildlife trafficking. Her previous experiences include working with organizations such as the Environmental Investigation Agency, CITES, TRAFFIC, WWF or Legal Atlas. Her research interests include transnational organized crime, environmental crime, illicit financial flows, environmental conflicts and security, modern slavery and human trafficking. Andrea is based in Vienna, Austria. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
