Meet the Experts
Research Assistant, Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime
Nikki joined the Global Initiative in October 2017 as a Research Assistant and is currently studying for an MSc in Countering Organised Crime and Terrorism at University College London. She graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Communication and Media Studies from Loughborough University in 2016. She also trained to be an Officer in the British Army during that time. Previously, she played a key role in the set up of an NGO (The Kindred Project) which works with long-lasting partners in Ecuador (since 2008), Morocco (since 2007), Spain (since 2013) and Uganda (since 2012).
Nikki’s main areas of interest are the organised crime-terror nexus within the global context and human trafficking in Africa. She is fluent in both Spanish and English and has a level of proficiency in French.
