Meet the Experts
Program Analyst, U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)
Kellie Burk possesses twenty years of research, project design and program management experience and expertise in African affairs and governance, peace and security issues. She is Program Analyst in the Conflict, Peacebuilding and Governance Division of the Bureau for Africa in the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in Washington. Kellie is the regional coordinator for Counter Trafficking in Persons (C-TIP) in Sub-Saharan Africa, providing technical advice and training to USAID field offices and supporting policies and programs. She also supports USAID’s implementation of UNSCR 1325 on Women, Peace and Security, and engages in coordination on policy, budget and programmatic issues in areas including countering violent extremism, trafficking in persons, human rights, and civil society development. Kellie previously worked at the Academy for Educational Development (AED), the World Bank and the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), and began her career with HSBC Equator Bank in East Africa.
Kellie has an MA in International Relations with concentrations in African Studies and international economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), and a BA in French and English from Tufts University.
